Workshop Description: Some writers have a natural knack to write sell copy. Others don’t know how or where to start. Shelley Ring has written back cover copy for traditional publishers, as well as for indie authors. She breaks down how to write a short, sweet package to woo readers to buy your book. This practical, how-to workshop

• diagnoses the hook, structure, benefits, components, and word counts for fiction and nonfiction back cover copy
• then teaches you how to write your fiction or nonfiction back cover copy
• identifies how to write the various elements of a complete copy package to promote your book.

Bring your synopsis or current WIP and be prepared to write.

Speaker Bio: Shelley Ring is a wife, mom, author, speaker, and Jesus lover. Shelley is a former Marketing Coordinator for a Christian publisher and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Colorado Christian University. With a passion for outstanding romantic Christian fiction, she authored of two independently published novels. Both Ransomed and Forsaken are available on Amazon in digital and paperback. Her writing craft book, Back Cover Copy That Sells, will be available for purchase in early Spring 2014.
