Workshop Description: It’s important to understand the dual sides of a writer — the creative side and the analytic side. Both sides of a writer are important and require extraordinary amounts of energy, time, patience, wisdom, commitment, and skill. But many writers find that their editorial flip-side is weak and underdeveloped. This workshop will help you hone your editing skills, help you work effectively with your editor, and develop your analytic side with ease.

Speaker Bio: Susan Mathis is the Founding Editor of Thriving Family magazine and former Editor of 12 Focus on the Family publications. She has written hundreds of articles, helped several magazines redesign, and co-authored the Tyndale best-selling book, Countdown For Couples: Preparing for the Adventure of Marriage and a soon-to-be-released book, The ReMarriage Adventure: Preparing for a Life of Love and Happiness. Susan now serves as a writer, editor, writing coach, and publications consultant, through smWordWorks (mathis.wordworks at gmail dot com) in Colorado Springs.
